Selfreliance Foundation supports Women’s Bandura Ensemble
In preparation for their April concerts in Providence, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts, the Women’s Bandura Ensemble of North America (WBENA) held a weekend rehearsal at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey in Whippany. As part of the event, the Ensemble invited the community to attend an open rehearsal on Sunday, March 17th at the Cultural Center.

The audience was treated to the premiere performance of a new Mnohaya Lita, composed by Oksana Harasymenko, that had been commissioned through a grant provided by the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA).
The Selfreliance Foundation of Selfreliance FCU supports artistic initiatives, including WBENA.

Члени Ансамблю Бандуристок Північної Америки з’їхались 15-17 березня у Виппані на дводенну репетицію перед концертами, що відбудуться 13-14 квітня (див. долучену афішу). У неділю ансамбль виступив перед громадою. Слухачі почули прем’єру нової композиції Оксани Герасименко “Многая літа”, скомпоновану за спонсорством Союзу Українок Америки.
Фундація Самопоміч при УФКС Самопоміч виділила кошти Ансамблеві на покриття дорожних коштів.
На світлині, Дарія Твардовська-Винцент, управитель філій “Самопомочі” в Нью Джерзі та голова Дорадчої Ради філій “Самопомочі” Нью Джерзі стоїть з членами ансамблю перед будинком Українсько-Американського Культурного Центру Нью Джерзі у Виппані.
