Vitaliy Kutnyy appointed President/CEO of Selfreliance FCU
Effective January 1, 2019, Selfreliance Federal Credit Union has a new President/CEO, Vitaliy Kutnyy.
Mr. Kutnyy, a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business, has been employed by Selfreliance FCU since March 2003. He worked his way through the ranks, from account representative to utive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, prior to his appointment as President/CEO.
Mr. Kutnyy and his management team at SFCU are committed to growing the credit union in the future, with new products and services, an expanded digital presence, and investment in employee training.
In his introductory report, Vitaliy Kutnyy stated: “Our credit union is large enough to provide all the services that big banks have to offer. At the same time, we are well acquainted with our community and local market, and are small enough to provide personalized services, adapted to the specific requirements of our members.”
He highlighted that the credit union, as a cooperative, not-for-profit financial institution, is required to give back to its members and the community, emphasizing that “…we pay back earnings to you in the form of higher savings rates, lower loan rates, and contributions that support our community” but that the credit union’s community support is predicated on its members’ ongoing utilization of its products and services.
Mr. Kutnyy concluded by saying: “I encourage you to review our products, think about your credit union first when you are buying or refinancing your home, compare our deposit rates, and reassess where you keep your money and who your financial institution works for – for you and your community, or for private shareholders.”
Mr. Kutnyy grew up in Ternopil, emigrating to the United States in 2002. He and his wife Yuliya live in the Chicagoland area with their two children.
We wish Vitaliy Kutnyy great success in his new and challenging position. In the words of Board Chairman Michael R. Kos: “We are positive that our credit union’s daily operations are in capable hands with Vitaliy at the helm.”

З новим 2019 роком, в Українській Федеральній Кредитовій Спілці “Самопоміч” новий Президент/Виконавчий Директор—Віталій Кутний.
Пан Кутний здобув ступінь Маґістра в галузі бізнес адміністрації (MBA) у Quinlan School of Business при Loyola University of Chicago та захистив стаж Сертифікованого Публічного Аудитора (CPA). Прийнятий на працю ще у 2003 році Кредитівкою “Cамопоміч”, він пройшов чуть не всі відділи Кредитівки, вивчаючи практику її діяльності та обслуговування членів, послуги та спілкування з громадою.
У своєму вступному слові на Річних Загальних Зборах Кредитівки, Віталій Кутний пояснив своє бачення майбутнього росту Кредитівки: “...у 2019 році ми зосередимось на надання нових фінансових послуг, вдосконалюючи, при цьому, вже існуючий набір послуг, інвестуючи в програми навчання працівників і розширюючи цифровий маркетинг.”
Щодо становища Кредитівки В. Кутний вияснив, що “…Ми є достатньо великою Кредитовою Спілкою, щоб надавати всі послуги, які можуть запропонувати великі банки, і достатньо комунікабельні, щоб забезпечити членів фінансовими послугами пристосованими до їхніх конкретних вимог. Оскільки ми не є прибутковою установою, ми повертаємо свої прибутки нашим членам у вигляді конкурентноспосібних послуг та доброчинних датків на підтримку нашої громади.”
На закінчення Кутний сказав: “запитайте самих себе, де зберігаються ваші гроші, і для кого працює ваша фінансова установа – для вас та вашої громади, чи для приватних акціонерів.”
Президент Ради Директорів Михайло Р. Кос, привітавши нового Президента Установи і Виконавчого Директора сказав: “Ми впевнені, що з Віталієм Кутним повсякденна діяльність нашої Кредитівки знаходиться у вмілих руках.”
Віталій Кутний виріс у Тернополі та емігрував до США у 2002 році. Він живе з дружиною Юлією та двома дітьми в околиці Чікаґо. Сердечно вітаємо нового Президента “Самопомочі”. Бажаємо йому якнайкращих успіхів і довгі роки плідної праці.
