The credit union has always maintained a mutually beneficial relationship with the various parishes to which its members belong. The Churches provide a strong spiritual foundation for Ukrainian community life, and the more their parishioners take advantage of the credit union's financial services, the more the credit union can assist the Churches remain strong.
Leaders of the Ukrainian religious community often visit the credit union to discuss various issues of common interest to both institutions. Shown here, Bishop Danyil of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA and Rev. Ivan Lymar of St. Volodymyr Cathedral visited the home office of Selfreliance FCU in April 2019 to chat with SFCU board and managers. Also standing in the front row are SFCU President/CEO Vitaly Kutnyy and The Selfreliance Foundation president Oresta Fedyniak.
