POSITION: Assistant Manager of the Delinquency Department (Collections)
LOCATION: On-site at the Main Office in Chicago, IL
SCHEDULE: Full Time
COMPENSATION: The budgeted amount for the starting hourly rate is $30 per hour
We are currently seeking an experienced Manager Assistant to join our Delinquency Department and support the Collections Manager in driving effective collection strategies, minimizing delinquency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. In this vital role, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the collections team, monitor delinquent accounts, and help maintain accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of collection experience in the financial institutions industry is required.
- Strong knowledge of debt collection practices, legal regulations, and member service.
- Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Familiarity with credit reporting and compliance standards.
- English and Ukrainian are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage delinquent accounts.
- Communicate with members to set up payment plans.
- Ensure compliance with debt collection laws and credit union policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of collection activities.
- Assist with legal actions as necessary, in line with regulatory requirements.
